Hotel

The Hilton Montreal Bonaventure is a hotel. There is nothing special about it. We stayed at the Marriott Château Champlain in previous years, but chose the Hilton this year due to the Marriott not guarenteeing us a room with two double beds. Even though we didn't spend a lot of time in our room I still prefer the Marriott.
Restaurants

Its Swiss Chalet. They make decent chicken and ribs. An extra
for their super awesome dipping sauce.
When it comes to fast food in Canada there is nothing like Tim Hortons. It is VERY basic, but its a staple. Everyone in Canada has been to a Tim Hortons and there's a reason for that.

Hmm... I've been warned about how mediocre La Cage Aux Sports was. I had made a reservation for a large group of people... unfortunately they were a handful of tables short. The service was slow and the food wasn't anything special. OH, and the waiter was nice enough to document on our copy of the receipt that we didn't leave a very good tip. The ONLY thing this place had going for it was the extra large pitcher of beer with a tap on it (I forget the name they gave it). Never again.
A very cool brewery we found on the way to the game. They didn't have flights (beer in small glasses so you can sample more than one without losing consciousness), but I remember the Raspberry Blonde and Nut Brown being very good.

Arenas

The Bell Centre is my favourite hockey area. The corridors aren't too crowded during intermission, you can use the washroom without standing in line for a ridiculously long time, the fans are friendly, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. I'd love to give it a better rating, but I don't think I've been to enough arenas to make that call.
