The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago was great. They upgraded us at check-in and signed us up for a rewards program that resulted in free wifi. The parking was super expensive, but is on par with the rest of the area. This hotel was also right on the Magnificent Mile (close to lots of shopping, restaurants, and subway). Almost makes me wish I had given the Hyatt Regency Boston less than ![]()

Restaurants
I had such high hopes for White Castle (I even watched the cult classic movie featuring Harold and Kumar prior to visiting). Moist burgers. Weird.
Goose Island Brewery is popular in a number States (I saw many of their beers during my last trip to Las Vegas). We went for a quick snack before a Cubs game and were treated to some good pub chips and a flight of beer. The Wrigleyville White was particularly good (as I write this I discovered that this location is now closed due to lease issues... so sad).

Al's Beef is a sandwich shop which features a beef sandwich on an bun with the options of several toppings (such as peppers and cheese). Guests also have the option of having their sandwich dipped in beef broth. As odd as this sounds, its quite good and not as messy to eat as you would think. They also have great chili cheese fries. I had such high hopes for White Castle (I even watched the cult classic movie featuring Harold and Kumar prior to visiting). Moist burgers. Weird.
Ballparks

Wrigley Field is a classic ballpark. They had some sort of a celebration for their 100 year anniversary which resulted in limited edition hot dogs (I was able to enjoy a pulled pork hotdog - which was good). Their travelling beer vendors also sold 312 (see Goose Island Brewery) of which I enjoyed a few during my stay. The main issue with Wrigley Field is not being able to watch the game from the concessions area (something we had when we went to Fenway Park). Still a fun place to go.

Contrary to Wrigley Field, U.S. Cellular Field was build within the past few decades and was able to provide its fans with a little more. Walking along the concessions gives fans access to a view of the game as well as other exhibits which promote the White Soxs. The food was good too. I was able to enjoy a burrito (as well as more 312s).
